Few words about the source of my motivation
My grandmother was the quiet strength that carried me through life’s darkest seasons. Long before I understood resilience, she was living it—guiding me with unwavering faith, unconditional love, and a gentleness that made even my hardest days feel survivable. When fear found me, I found safety in her. When I lost my way, she became my compass. Her wisdom was never loud, yet it shaped every step of my journey.
Though she is no longer here, her presence remains woven into every page I write and every purpose I pursue. She is my full circle—the heart behind this story and the legacy that continues to lead me forward. If these words offer hope to someone else, it is because she first planted that hope in me. Every dream realized, every life touched, and every step toward healing is, in many ways, a continuation of the love she gave so freely.
Why I Started ROOTS
At eight years old, I was diagnosed with pediatric Multiple Sclerosis.
I know what it feels like to grow up facing uncertainty.
I know what it feels like to sit in doctor's offices wondering what comes next.
I know what it feels like to feel different from other children.
Yet I also know what resilience looks like.
ROOTS was born from my journey.
Not because I had all the answers.
But because I spent decades searching for them.
Today, ROOTS exists to help children and families find the support, resources, education, and hope I wish existed when I was growing up.
